Ontario, Canada.
She shot to celebrity in 1995 following the release of the album The Woman in
Me. Two years later than, she released the album Come On Over, which went on to
turn into the best-selling studio album of all time.
Come On Over has sold
over 40 million copies global. Her fourth and final studio album to date, Up!,
was released in 2002 and has sold more than 20 million copies worldwide.
Throughout the course
of her career, she has received five Grammy Awards and 27 BMI Songwriter
Awards. On June 2, 2011, she earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
